Planning your hospital visit
Outpatient Services
Business Hours (Monday thru Friday from 0800 to 1700)
- All outpatients will enter the building through the ambulatory emergency room entrance
- All outpatients (LAB & RAD) will be registered at the Emergency Room Registrar’s Desk/Window
- Those patients will be escorted by respective departments to their final destination
- All ambulatory emergency room patients will be registered at the Emergency Room Registrar’s Desk/Window
- Respective departments will be called when a visitor presents in need of pharmacy, medical records, bill pay, indigent care or like service
After Business Hours
- All ambulatory emergency room patients will be registered at the Emergency Room Registrar’s Desk/Window
- Approved visitation
- Expectant Fathers
- Crisis or end of life scenarios
- One parent of pediatric patient
- Military deployment
Our Hospital Cafeteria Provides Great Dining Options
When you need a bite to eat, stop by the Frio Regional Hospital Café, located in the southeast corner of the hospital. We have both indoor and outdoor seating options, and we’re always open to the public.
Dining hours are:
- Breakfast: 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- Lunch: 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
If you’d like lighter fare, vending machines in our emergency department waiting room provide a snack food option.

Here are some things to keep in mind about our infection control policy, which helps ensure the health and safety of our patients and visiting guests:
- Please do not visit the hospital if you’re sick. Your loved one may appreciate a phone call instead!
- Please remember to wash your hands before and after your visit. This simple yet effective step is the single best way to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
