Michael Ruff

Michael Ruff joined Frio Regional Hospital in September 2021. Mr. Ruff has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare arena with over 14 of those years serving in the CFO role. He has an accounting degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He has worked in hospitals ranging from 250 beds to 25 beds in urban and rural settings. Michael have 4 children scattered across Texas and Kansas. He enjoys exercising, traveling, and reading while not at work.

Trish is dedicated to customer service, and she leads her team of 10 employees to keep Frio Regional Hospital a safe and clean environment.

Trish is an advocate for the Pearsall High School Community Based Instructional Program. In December 2015, she earned a Pillar Award for outstanding achievement through the Methodist Center for Leadership Excellence.

Trish is a mother of three sons and has five grandchildren.

April Mainez
Director of Quality Assurance, Compliance Officer, Medical Staff Credentialing

April Mainez began her journey here at Frio Regional Hospital in 2012. Currently, now the Quality Director, Compliance Officer, Activities Director, and Medical Staff Credentialing.

Ms. Mainez previously served as an ER clerk and was promoted to Quality Assistant after a year of being in the ER.

In 2020 she was then promoted to the Executive Assistant for a couple of years, recently in 2022 now she holds her current position.

She now holds a Texas license for Activities Director and is actively attending the College of Healthcare Professions for her Associates Degree in Healthcare Management.

She is a single parent of 4 children and loves spending time with her family, kids, and friends. Some hobbies are BBQ, swimming, movies, outdoor activities, and going on trips.

She enjoys basketball and volleyball and one of her main hobbies is singing.

Mary Moore
Physician Assistant for Frio Regional Primary and Urgent Care Clinic

Mary Moore was born November 17, 1957 in Bonita, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Thomas and, the late, Annie Lumpkin.

Moore is single and has one daughter, Lakesha, a son, Robert and three grandchildren, Destiny, Kenneth and Azai.

Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas.

On May 9, 2015, Moore became the first female as well as the first African American woman to be elected Mayor of Pearsall, Texas.

Her campaign was centered on bringing change to 20 years of corrupted city government that had been overwhelmed with lawsuits.

Before becoming Mayor of Pearsall Texas, Moore served her community for 15 years as a Physician Assistant and still works as a Physician Assistant for the Frio Regional Primary and Urgent Care Clinic in Dilley, TX.

Diane Roel
Family Nurse Practitioner for Frio Regional Primary and Urgent Care Clinic

Previously employed at South Texas Rural Health in Dilley as a family nurse practitioner.

I have been a nurse for 25 year with varied positions as a registered nurse. I was an emergency room nurse for 14 years prior to obtaining my advanced practice license. I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M Corpus Christie in 2017.

I have three sons (ages 34, 30, 21) and seven grandchildren ranging in age from 5-17 years of age.

I enjoy gardening, paper crafting, and diy/thrift flipping items.
