That’s where Frio Regional Hospital’s Home Health Care Services come in. Our skilled nurses and other specialists can provide a wide range of care in the comfort of your own home. We serve the population of Frio County and the surrounding areas, including La Salle and Medina counties
Our home health team works for you
Our Home Health Care team includes licensed and registered nurses. And we have the only Home Health Care team in the area that includes physical and speech therapists.
Our goal is to help you regain the ability to perform daily activities like bathing, dressing and making meals. We want to help you return to as independent a life as possible.
We offer complete home healthcare
Among the home health services we can provide are:
- Catheter care.
- Intravenous or nutrition therapy.
- Medication and other injections.
- Patient, family and caregiver education.
- Physical therapy.
- Speech therapy.
- Wound care.
Our team comes to you as often as your doctor orders, depending on the therapies you need and the orders your doctor has written. We keep in close contact with your doctor, so your whole healthcare team is aware of your progress and your health. And since we’re connected with a hospital system, we can connect you with medical professionals quickly, should a complication arise.
Connecting with our home health team
We accept private pay, private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare replacement plans and traditional Medicare coverage.
You do need a doctor’s order to receive healthcare at home. We work with discharge planners, assisted living facilities, physicians, community groups, churches, family members and pastors in Frio County to get those referrals.
