Community Health Needs Assessment
When you’re facing a medical emergency and you’re looking for a Frio hospital, compliance with federal record-keeping guidelines might not top the list of things you’re looking for. In fact, it’s quite possible that you’ll simply be looking for the nearest hospital that can help you to feel better fast. But compliance is an important part of what good hospitals do in order to serve their communities.
One such task we must complete at Frio Regional Hospital involves a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), tax-exempt hospitals like ours are required to prepare CHNAs in order to ensure that we have the information we need in order to provide the benefits that will help our communities. The assessments also give us the opportunity to improve our coordination with community resources that could help to boost health.
Please read through our latest CHNAs. To ask questions or to find out more about the review process, call 830.334.3617.
